The entire evening turns around one carefully chosen question and a table of people with very different answers. Everything is designed to feel specific to Washington: the setting, the pacing, the people in the room and the way the event moves from its opening moments into the part nobody can fully program. It should feel polished enough to take seriously, human enough to relax inside and specific enough that it could not simply be moved to another city unchanged.
